I already miss the trees and I’ve only been home a week. 🌲 🥰🌲 Me + my dad + little sis road tripped northern Cali, exploring the beautiful coast and majestic redwood forests.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite part: finding the largest coast redwood. You kind of have to see it to believe it, but it was magical and HUGE. (my dad, the tree guy, almost cried 🙂)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I wrote a blog post with photos/links to our hikes + stops + stays. The link is in my bio if ya want to read. 🌎
Wellp, a quick weekend trip to Steamboat 🏔 to visit a friend has come to an end. 😫 As usual, we packed in the adventures...hot springs + dance party *just us two + snowmobiling + sketchy mountain drives + red wine.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Love your guts @karinetherese 💛I’ll be back soon!
I’ve been working on a fun project for the last couple months (I’ve had some extra time in 2020 🙂)...a travel blog. I’ve enjoyed using my photography + website skills to build this little corner of the internet. And I’ve always loved writing about my trip itineraries + planning tips + favorite spots and now they are all housed in one place. An online travel journal. ✈️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have the deets from my solo road trip to Wyoming + favorite spots from my Kauai trip + our 2-week Europe itinerary all on the blog. Feel free to explore. (link is in my bio) 🗺
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My goal is to write at least one piece a month. Let me know if you have any road trip + camping + travel questions. I’ll try my best to answer them. 💛
Home from my solo road trip...happy + sad about it. It’s nice to sleep in my own bed with my kiddos (🐈 + 🐕‍🦺), but I already miss the views + spontaneity.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I got soooo many questions about this trip so I’m planning to write an itinerary of my route + stops. 🚙 I’ll let you know when that’s finish. Meanwhile, here’s a little recap + a few photos.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚪︎Drove across South Dakota to Western Wyoming
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚪︎Explored all over Wyoming including the Grand Tetons + Yellowstone
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚪︎Made my way up to Montana for more exploring
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚪︎Drove thru Montana + back across South Dakota to home
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m surprised to say this, but Yellowstone was my favorittttte place. I hadn’t been there since I was in 8th grade, so it was basically new to me. Every part of the park was unique and I probably pulled over 20+ times to check this thing out or that cool thing. ⛰ Anyways - I’ll share more deets later or DM me if ya have questions about my trip!
⋒ took a little social media break ⋒ Just haven’t been feeling it these past few months. 🤷🏼‍♀️ (minus tiktok - shit’s funny)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Quarantine times have been weird + good + draining + busy + slow + productive + lazy + inspiring + different + healing. Ya know?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve spent the summer gardening + hiking the north shore + drinking wine + reading books + playing cribbage + walking in our woods + workingggg + volunteering + camping + planting trees + baking bread + hanging out with my family. 🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And now I’m packin up to solo road trip through South Dakota + Wyoming + Montana for the next couple weeks. 🏔 Going to see the Tetons + Yellowstone + Badlands + who knows what else. If anyone’s done this route before + knows some cool stops...lemme know. 🚙
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wellp...a little life update for ya. 😘 Hope you’ve been good + giving yourself grace throughout this strange time in our world. Sending light. ✨ Talk soon.
*sigh* ✨ Just got home from a 4-day trip into the Boundary Waters Wilderness. 🛶⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once we got to our camp, we didn’t see a single human being. Just a bunch of loons + turtles + a beaver + butterflies. It was so nice. 🐢 ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We spent the weekend playing cribbage + reading + drinking wine + napping + fishing. 💛⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Grateful to have room to breathe in the woods. 🌲
This has been on my to-do list for a while...⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀
⋒ dandelion oil ⋒⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• pick a bunch of dandelion flowers⠀
• dry flat on a baking sheet for a few days⠀
• put flowers in jar + add oil⠀
• let sit in a sunny windowsill for ✌🏻 weeks⠀
• drain with cheesecloth + pour into bottle⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m going to use it to make a lotion bar + salve. 🌱 It’s good for dry skin. 👌🏻
A year ago we were roaming around Switzerland + France + Germany. 😫⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m thankful to be safe at home, BUT I’m cravin some travel. ✈️ Or just to be able to put something on the calendar. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll just go eat cheese + drink wine + look through old photos.
More scenes from quarantine:⠀
⋑ Today’s sourdough loaf. 🥖⠀
⋑ Yesterday’s walk in the woods. 🌤⠀
⋑ Transplanting trees so we can make a huge garden. 🌲⠀
⋑ Reading. 📖⠀
⋑ Enjoying sunsets. 🌙
